The Organizational Structure of UC DATA

UC DATA is one of primary units which formed the Survey Research Center, which provided specialized research services. As part of the campus reorganization of support for research data, UC DATA and its partner for restricted use data, the CCRDC, became part of the new Social Science Data Lab.

UC DATA provides access to data collected from around the world and technical assistance in producing new datasets from administrative and other data sources.

The California Census Research Data Center, in partnership with the U.S. Census Bureau, provides researchers with access to non-public Census data under conditions that facilitate innovative research while safeguarding confidentiality.

The professional staff, associated faculty, and graduate and undergraduate students of the D-Lab comprise an intellectual community devoted to using and improving empirical social science methods.
