UC DATA's holdings may be searched or browsed by various methods. To look for data of interest to you, click on "Data" in the main menu to your left. Search tools are tied to the specific data collections represented in order to give users the most up-to-date information on the universe of available data. A search retrieves studies, which may or may not be part of our current holdings.

When data are currently part of our holdings, users may ftp them to their own account and begin using the data immediately. As the offical representative to ICPSR and ROPER, UC DATA may order additional datasets for the use of UC Berkeley faculty, staff and students. Such orders typically require a week to 10 days after ordering to become available for download from this site (or via an FTP client).

Users who are not affiliated with the UC Berkeley campus may use this site for the purpose of finding relevant data, but will need to obtain data through contacts at their own institution.
