The Earth Sciences & Map Library features a huge collection (almost 600,000) maps. The library provides access to GIS software and Google EarthPro.

Geospatial Innovation Facility
The Geospatial Innovation Facility (GIF) at UC Berkeley's College of Natural Resources provides leadership and training on integrated mapping technologies. These technologies include Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Global Positioning Systems (GPS), and modeling. The GIF offers innovative geospatial approaches to environmental research projects and grant opportunities.

Trying to make sense of Census geographies? Trying to link Census block to zip code? Trying to link school district data to population data? Go to MABLE/Geocorr. MABLE/Geocorr is a web based application that allows the user to create crosswalk files for different kinds of geographies. It uses the Master Area Block Level Equivalency (MABLE) database (which contains almost 7 million census block entries – the smallest geographic units used in the census data) to create a report file and a comma-delimited ASCII crosswalk file of user-defined geographies. MABLE/Geocorr includes geographies like county, Census (2000) place (FIPS), zip code, PMSA, School District, Congressional District and many more. The site also allows users to make crosswalk files to old or “vintage” geographies.
