Time Running Out: A Portrait of California Families Reaching the CalWORKS Time Limit in 2004
Summary

Caseload trends provide the context for this second report from the study The Effects of Five-Year Welfare Time Limits in California commissioned by Welfare Policy Research Project (WRPR). This report describes CalWORKs families as they approach the time limit, and their readiness for this event. Authors, Rebecca London and Jane Mauldon, use findings from a telephone survey of 1,797 recipients in six focus counties conducted between June 2004 and August 2005.
